Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has shared his thoughts on the upcoming match between India and Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The game is scheduled for June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

In a recent interview, Harbhajan described Pakistan as a tough opponent, especially because of their strong bowling attack. “Pakistan’s bowlers are mentally and physically strong,” he said, but he also expressed confidence in India’s ability to handle them. “Our team will be prepared to face them,” he added.

Harbhajan pointed out that India and Pakistan don’t play against each other often, which makes these matches more challenging. “Playing against Pakistan is always tricky as both countries don’t play each other frequently. We’re not fully aware of their strengths and weaknesses, but the Indian management closely monitors every player,” he explained.

He also spoke about the pitch conditions at the Nassau Cricket Stadium, expressing concerns about the use of drop-in pitches. “The pitches at Nassau Cricket Stadium are relatively unknown. Even the curators might not fully understand how the pitch will behave. We need to see how it plays during practice games before deciding on team combinations,” he said.

As both teams prepare for the World Cup, Harbhajan’s comments highlight the careful planning and strategy involved in facing a strong opponent like Pakistan. Fans from both countries are eagerly looking forward to the match on June 9, expecting an exciting and competitive game.
