The two-time runners up in Pakistan Super League (PSL), Quetta Gladiators did not get an ideal start in season III but captain Sarfaraz Ahmed had trust on his players. Hassan Khan, the emerging player in the Gladiators squad, hit a huge six in last over against Multan Sultans to win nail biting game and lived up to the captain’s expectations.
“The credit goes to the stars sitting in our dugout, team owner Nadeem Omer, Sir Viv Richards, Moin Khan, Sarfaraz Ahmed; all of them had confidence in me and thanks to almighty Allah that I have succeed,” told Hassan Khan in an exclusive interview with us.
Khan called it one of the best moments in his life. “For any player in the world, there cannot be anything better than a legend like Sir Viv Richard running to hug him.”
The emerging star who led Pakistan in ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand last month, dedicated his last night’s performance to Viv Richards, who was celebrating his 66th birthday. “It was his birthday and we dedicated this victory to him.”
Khan hoped that he will keep playing good innings and eventually cement his place in the national side. “This is just the beginning and hopefully, I will keep doing good and play for Pakistan. Rest is in the hands of Allah.”
